About Us

Make It Plain Gospel Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit, religious corporation providing a base for the preaching ministry of Jonathan Hewett. The ministry was begun in 1997. A 15-member Board of Directors oversees the ministry.  Jonathan Hewett has been in ministry since his college days. He served as a youth minister for 14 years before God called him into this full-time traveling and preaching ministry. He is married to Ellyn (since 1984) and they have three children: Catherine, Joshua and Lindsey.  Jonathan is a member and past officer of the Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelists . Jonathan has written youth curriculum for Lifeway Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention for several years, including the 2001 Youth Vacation Bible School study of the Ten Commandments and recent units in "LifeTrak." Mission projects include building a church building in Bela Bela, South Africa, crusades in Bela Bela and a crusade in Coro, Venezuela, as well as trips to Brazil and China.
