Photos Christ for the Cities Crusade in PeruIn November, Wes James and Jonathan returned to Peru to conduct five evangelistic crusades in 7 days! We were in Sullana, Chiclayo, Laredo, Trujillo, and Chimbote and we conducted church services in Piura and Lima. Also, we visited Iquitos, Peru, on the Amazon, to prepare for a week's work in February of 09. Pastor Samuel Reategui Sanchez is our Peruvian coordinator and idea man and Pastor Jose Apon went with us as a preacher and chauffeur! Thanks to them, we saw many Peruvians come to Christ and we saw alot of Peru! Governador Veladarez Brazil January 07This was Jonathan's second trip to Governador. The Brazilian Christians at First Baptist Governador are so eager and helpful that they make a mission trip easy. Jonathan, Catherine Hewett, Ruth Lamos, Tim McIlhaney and Rissa Person made up the Americans for the team. Lima 08 Mission Trip15 American Christians went to Lima, Peru to help Peruvian Christians grow the Kingdom of God. More than 500 were converted through personal evangelism, crusade services, street preaching and messages in schools. Some of the poorest heard the Gospel. Young and old accepted the message. "Facing the Giants" and Samaritan's Purse boxes were also useful strategies. Praise the Lord for His blessings and His power to save!
