July 21-August 1, 2007 to Togo, West Africa with FBC Celina group of 7, including, Pastor Raymond Horne, Dudley and Bridget Raymond, Shawna Edmiston, Charles and Kim Huddleston and me.
Boys playing marbles in the street
We found them doing this in the street and they enjoyed attempting to explain it to the "foriegners."
Mousah our driver
Mousah and Mounirah were our Muslim drivers during the trip to Togo. They are brothers and are very proud of their van, which they washed and cleaned everyday. On the last day, I told them that we wanted to share our message with them. They both prayed to receive Christ!
Hosana Baptist Church
I enjoyed my assignment of preaching at Hosana during our time in Lome. Their church choir was incredible. It was also the first time I'd had to work with 2 interpreters, one into French and the other into Evay. That's kinda different!
The Huddlestons making contact
Kim and Charles (her father) Huddleston made new friends easily. We found the people to be very friendly.
Best ride in the country
Pastor Nadjombe was taking us into the country to see the Lambe people and his ride looked better than ours, so I hitched. Some ride!
Togolese boy
He's in a Kante street, exactly in between a mosque and a church, which was a position I thought symbolized many people in his country.
Kante's mosque
We were awakened (early) the next day by the call to prayer from the imam of this small mosque. The Muslims come in with free clothes and food to win the people over.
